With the PolderbitS Call Recorder you can record online VoIP (Voice
over
Internet
Protocol) conversations taking place with programs like for example Skype, VoipBuster, VoipStunt, Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, Office Communicator, Lync 2010 and more...
It does not matter which communication program you use, as long as it makes use of the sound card, or a headset connected to your PC.
If you include the Internet browser to record from, you can also record the audio of online webcam sessions, or the audio of online meetings you actively participate in.
The moment you start a conversation, this will automatically be detected and you will see volume level indications of your voice and the voice(s) of the other party:

You can set it up to manually or automatically start recording.
Recordings can be saved as mixed-mono sound files where your voice and the other party's voice(s) are mixed in a mono sound file, or they can be saved as dual-channel sound files where your own voice will be placed in the left channel and the voice(s) of the other party in the right channel.
After recording has finished you can play it back:

Recordings are saved as either uncompressed wav, or compressed mp3 sound files.
These sound files can be opened and playback in any player, or in editors like our PolderbitS Sound Editor.
The recording list in the Call Recorder lists all conversations that reside on disk, from where they can be played back, renamed, or deleted:

If you setup the Call Recorder to run in hidden mode, recording takes place in the background without any visible indication that conversations are recorded. This way you can monitor your kids online voice chatting activities without them knowing this.

On 64-bit Windows systems it records from either 32-bit or 64-bit communication programs and in Windows 7 it can even automatically detect which communication programs are used.
